Community Leader

From his leadership of the Northwest Suburban Veterans Advisory Council to his efforts to renovate and revive Arlington Heights’ historic Memorial Park and his service on the Arlington Heights Park Foundation Board, Mark is a leader in our community.

Veteran

Mark proudly enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam with distinction. The same sense of duty that led him to military service is what motivates him to campaign for the office of State Representative. Mark has advocated for veterans in Springfield and is deeply committed to representing the interests of veterans in the Illinois General Assembly.

Business leader

Mark has over 30 years of experience in the business world. Mark has been a senior corporate executive and a local entrepreneur, who founded a company to assist customers in buying and selling businesses. Mark is currently Vice President of Walker Information, an international consulting firm. Mark will use his worldclass expertise to fight on behalf of local residents and help fix Springfield.

Family man

Mark and his wife Joan have lived in Arlington Heights for 24 years. When his son Stephen was younger, Mark coached his youth soccer team and has also been involved with Boy Scouts and other youth activities. (Stephen is now earning his doctorate at the University of Chicago.)
